Hello!
I took these photos a while back but completely forgot to post them.
Has that ever happened to you?
I'm wearing this white skirt again.. Last seen here.
I love it! it's super comfortable.. i wish i bought more than one!
I'm kinda in a blogging funk..
Have you ever been in one? If so, how did you get out of it?
Blogging is harder than I thought.. it's a lot of
work without a lot of rewards...
I like most of you, pour my heart, time and energy into my blog.
This blog is my baby and to see it grow from day one, it's such a great feeling!
but on the flip side, i can become a little too obsessed with blogging...
focus too much on the traffic and the numbers that a lot of times,
i'll become discouraged if i don't see immediate change.
i'm sure i'm not alone on this... but i have to say,
it's b/c of you faithful readers who continue to follow me
and comment on my posts that keep me going.
So with that said, i wanted to take this time to thank you so much
for reading my posts and accepting my blog.. It's so sweet when, what starts
as a blogging buddy, turns into a real friendship!
Happy Wednesday Everyone.. Hope you have a wonderful day!

Today i'm doing a trend collaboration with Carly from Lipgloss and Crayons!

I haven't been in a blogging funk, yet, but definitely in art/creative funks (I was an art major in college!) I think its always helpful focus on why you started your project and find inspiration. Sometimes started up something new (like a new series of posts or adding a new feature) can be the creative jump-start you need
ReplyDeletethanks so much Kara, what a great piece of advice!!! sending you a virtual hug! xoxo
Deletei think it's easy to be in a blogging funk for me when i am in crummy weather. usually looking at other blogs, reading my elle magazine, and planning out outfits on pinterest helps me resuscitate my clothing! ohh, also a blog redesign can help a bunch!

I'm glad you remembered to post these! You look so cute! I love the whole look. Just keep on doing what you are doing. You will get out of the funk. I think it happens to everyone so you are not alone. :)

come visit :)
Love that white skirt - it's so feminine and goes great with the plaid!
ReplyDeleteI've definitely gotten into blogging funks before... then I just have to ask myself why I am doing it. Is it for the stats? Or is it because I love it? So far, the answer has been because I love it, so I just try to focus on that. It is hard though, when you put in a lot of work and don't see a lot of return. I just tell myself that even if I never gained another follower, I would still do it because I love it so much!
:-( blogging funk! I always come up with new projects when I'm in a funk. That's where these trend collaborations and how to wear came from. You need a new project or way to inspire posts!
ReplyDeleteLets brainstorm!

Blogging funks are the worst. I found that mine start when I just get myself too overwhelmed with life and blogging. I take it easy on my posts for a week or so and before you know it I'm craving more exciting things again.

I am in one myself. I feel like since I work Monday - Friday 9-6 and then by the time I get home from the gym and cook dinner i have no time to blog. Then you spend all weekend figuring out what outfits you want to post about and then have to spend the whole day taking pictures so you have ootd posts ready for the week. I definitely feel what you are going through. The best way for me to get inspired is to go to a flea market or walk around downtown and look at the architecture and also the people around me. I find alot of inspiration from i guess you would call it street style. But stay positive we will always love your blog and support you!!

I love this outfit! The red bow belt is super cute and I love the white skirt with the gingham shirt! And I am obsessed with the outfit with the mint jeans!!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you will get out of your funk soon. I find that this happens to me every so often and sometimes lasts a week or two. During that time I try to take note of what I'm inspired by and turn it into a post. I read more magazines, go browse shops, etc. etc. and this usually picks my inspiration up a lot! I hope that helps!
I read your blog everyday on my Google Reader, but I don't know if it shows up on your daily traffic count. I just wanted to let you know I love your posts! (Pam)
ReplyDeleteI love the skirt! If only I wasn't taking a year off shopping, I'd love to get that skirt from H&M!
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the pleated poppy! http://katelyngreer.com/2013/03/06/wiww-brown-is-not-just-seasonal/

ReplyDeleteOne, love this look! You look beautiful and I think the gingham is so cute and unexpected with this skirt. Two, I understand the blogging slump. It's supposed to be fun, not work. Too me it looks like you have a great thing going on!

Hey Miriam, you just wrote how I feel (sometime). I get all dejected too but I always go back to the core of why I'm blogging. I honestly blog for fun and hopefully inspire others who are in need of some fashion tips. Don't get distracted with comments. They will eventually come, blog about what you believe in. We're all in the same boat and we'll help each other out. I'm going to follow you on instagram now. Keep in touch.

I love that white skirt, it's gorgeous and so perfect for spring!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all... I adore both outfits!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog so I usually set aside time to read through posts that I may have missed since my last visit. If you're in a rut I'd still be happy even if all you posted were your pretty pictures which always make me smile. :)
I haven't hit the one year mark on my blog yet but it's blogs like yours that inspire me to step up my game. Your pictures and outfits/pairings set the bar very high. Sometimes when I don't feel like blogging I just update Instagram but other times I enjoy a break altogether, step away and come back refreshed with new things to share or at least a different perspective.
xo,
Jess
Amazin both outfits, dear;)) xoxo
